The Promotions & Communications team has been focused this past year on developing OBIN's social media presence. To begin this, we decided to start with a focus on Facebook. We developed our Facebook page as a resource for the latest basic income developments, to communicate ways to get involved with OBIN, and basic income movement in Ontario and Canada more generally.
Our page is quite active, with at least one post almost every day. We are encouraged by the following that we have gained to date and that number continues to grow! Our posts have had the ability to reach a large audience - at times in the 1000s. Recently, we completed our Basic Income Day social media campaign, which highlighted the various ways for people to join in on the Day of Action, including our poster campaign.
Going forward, we hope to expand our presence to other social media platforms and continue developing engaging campaigns. If you don't yet follow OBIN on Facebook, be sure to 'like' our page and share widely with your network!
