January 2021 Newsletter

Ontario Basic Income Network

This is an update with respect to our December Newsletter.

Good news on a number of fronts! First and foremost, we have two volunteers who are busy working on our website and database. This is to make it more user-friendly and of greater value to both your C-Team and those who access our website. In summary, we plan to be able to capture relevant information that will make it much easier to communicate with those interested in a Basic Income. Hopefully, we will have an update in our February Newsletter about the changes.

Secondly, we are making good progress in the creation of our video. It is featuring a small business owner who has recently realized that a national Basic Income is in everyone's interest and especially those involved with small businesses.

And, thanks to you, we have made a significant start in having the funds needed to create the extra video footage and for technical support services. We are not there yet so please help as you can to make these projects a success by overflowing our coffers by the end of January! Please DONATE.

Please Note: We are still urgently looking for volunteers who can take on the role of managing the content on our OBIN website. We would like to maintain the timeliness and quality of our content. We believe a team of 2 or 3 would be most appropriate. This is an exciting opportunity for you to make a real difference. If you have some of these skills and have the time to invest in a better Canada, please send us your biodata preferably by the end of January to [email protected].

To give you a glimpse of the future for 2021, the C-Team will be supporting Caterina, our new Internal Relations Coordinator as she embarks on an ambitious project to reach out to people across Ontario. Once this project is underway, we will be in contact with you as to how you can become involved.

As always, we will continue to keep you informed of our progress via our monthly Minutes.
